Chicory is an herb which does not contain calories or caffeine. The primary use of Chicory has been as an inexpensive substitute for coffee, or as an extender in commercial grade coffee to keep down the cost of blends. Chicory has bittersweet overtones and is definitely an acquired taste.
The Cafe Connection is one of the few to offer pure chicory on the internet. This is the same chicory used in our Louisiana Blend.
